Thai Massage Training - St. Paul, Minneapolis, Twin Cities area
Traditional Thai massage was created in India over 2500 years ago by the physician to the Buddha, Dr. Jivaka Kumar Bhacca. It was integrated into the temples and hospitals of Thailand with the transmission of Buddhism from India to Southeast Asia. The treatment consists of rythmic compression with gentle rocking, deep stretching and joint mobilization. Thai Massage is a very effective technique for treating a wide range of conditions. Practitioners have easy access to the body while working in various positions using bodyweight as leverage. Thai Massage is performed on a mat on the oor; participants wear loose, comfortable clothing and must have the ability to move around on their hands and knees. You will be trained to work in a state of mindful awareness using proper body mechanics. The environment is both meditative and playful. A certificate of completion will be given for completing the 30-hour course. To register: send a $200 deposit to Chris Gordon 1240 Thomas Ave St. Paul MN 55104.
